What is ccKids?

Every Sunday at 11 am, all kids (babies through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus on their level.

We want every kid to…

  • Trust God no matter what

  • Make wise choices

  • Invite others

  • Treat others as they want to be treated

We do this through…

  • Fun and engaging activities

  • Energetic worship through singing

  • Dynamic storytelling of Bible stories

We realize you, the parents, are the most important influence in your kids’ lives! We are here to partner with you and to support you in bringing them up through…

  • Take home applications for the whole family from the Bible

  • Family activities/events for the whole family

  • Opportunities to serve our community together

How Check-In Works

20180708_114418.jpg

You may check in your child at the entry to the kids’ building starting at 10:45. Every week when children come to ccKids, they begin their experience at one of our check-in stations. Here, children receive a tag with their name, class, and any other important information. The child’s parent or guardian also receives a tag that matches the alpha-numeric code on the bottom of their child’s name tag. This check-in/check-out system ensures that each child who participates in our kid's ministry is released only to an authorized parent or guardian at the end of the service.

Connecting at Home

Now your family has a way to connect to the same topics and themes that your kids are learning about on Sunday during the week.

Celtic Cross Church is looking for a part-time Kids Ministry Assistant to help us reach non-churched families with the hope of Jesus Christ. This person will be working with the Families Minister Director to build and grow our program to kids and their families.

Celtic Cross is a church that is rapidly changing. It celebrates its great heritage, as it is now focusing on connecting with the younger families that live around the church. We have a warm family atmosphere and have recently been focusing on trying to reach the neighborhoods around our church. We have been investing in lots of kids-related ministries with both personnel and upgrades to the facilities.

This is a chance to join a group of people who are dreaming bigger and striving to make church relevant to our context.

This position will be about one third leading kids and volunteers on Sunday mornings, and two thirds organizing the curriculum and planning events. We use Orange Curriculum so familiarity with that is a plus. Since two thirds of the time will be administrative in nature, a proficiency in office 365 and similar programs is necessary. This position requires hours helping running programs on Sunday mornings.

A full job discription is available upon request.
